I miss you, Danny… always in my thoughts and in my heart.

  2. Aroon says:

Your journey touched me as a young man suffering too. It reminds of the love and suffering our saviour took upon. I will always regret for not having to met you but I am sure we will meet one day as brothers in Christ.

Have you ever considered creating an ebook or guest authoring on other websites? I have a blog based upon on the same information you discuss and would really like to have you share some stories/information. I know my visitors would appreciate your work. If you are even remotely interested, feel free to shoot me an email.

Daniel, you are constantly in our thoughts…your good heart lives on and I will never forget your kindness. Miss you my friend!

Moved by The measure of faith God has given Daniel and how it was made perfect in his trials.

I happened upon this page while searching for CPT-11. Have a resistant brain tumor and CPT11 is a 3rd 4th 5th effort to battle this demon.
I don’t want to do this anymore! I’m considering stopping the treatment.

In prayer group this morning we brought my trouble before the LORD and asked for His will to be made known. One prayer partner asked specifically that GOD would make it crystal clear what to do. I do have faith and wait for his mercies in the assembly of His righteous. The Bible said that David, a man after Gods own heart ASKED before battle what David should do. GOD always answered David. So I’m asking….God, what should I do? Should I battle through this chemo? Make it clear Oh Father!

Peace be to Daniel Haddad and his family, whose strength is in the LORD.

    • grace says:

God bless you! I’m sure Daniel would want you to fight the good fight and run the race to the finish line no matter what the outcome is. Take courage in the Lord, we all need to in our circumstances. I pray the Lord shines with His face on you.

  7. God has touched my heart and inspired my destiny through Daniel Haddad, and his sister Joanne. Daniel has changed my life, and he never even knew it.

Oh precious Daniel, you changed my entire world with your suffering. I vow to you that I will do everything in my power to prevent others from suffering the pain that you endured.
Until we meet in the next life,
    Leslie Radentz, MD

    Hi Daniel,
its really weird for me to be doing this….i mean ive always heard the stories and listened to people and their fight with cancer, but i never imagined i would be telling my own story! i am 25 yrs old and 3 days ago i was diagnosed with the same bone cancer u had….and im sure finding your website was no coincidence. going through it and reading your story is a true inspiration…my fight now begins and i hope to fight it with the same attitude you had…faith is the only weapon i have and the only one i need…
prayers to your family and friends…and may your soul rest in peace

  9. Marwan Zeineddine says:

    Daniel,

We may have met in the past in Raleigh but I’m not sure. You obviously look familiar as I know your brother Basil whom I had met through George Isaak.
I’m sorry to learn the fight with cancer didn’t turn out the way your family would have hoped. But as you say throughout your lovely site, the sorrows of this life will be a thing of the past in the next. It’s just that most people aren’t equipped to believe it readily.

All good people will meet as the final stage unfolds, it will be a time to reminisce about our earthly existence which kept the truth of the real existence shrouded in a haze of doubt and laid all sorts of seductions, traps and distractions in our way.

We will talk about how what seemed to be an unfortunate event in our earthly life turned out to be the defining best moment as it put us back on the righteous path.

See you later…. and best wishes to your family

    Marwan

  10. Wassim Henoud says:

    Dear Danny,

I hope you are getting better. Allow me to join your circle of prayers. I wish you the best of health and a lot of happiness.

My prayers also goes to your loved ones who are accompanying you in your journey. May God and Our Lady of Lebanon and Mar Charbel grant you patience and that your best wishes are accomplished.

    Warmest regards

    Wassim

  11. Scott Tang says:

Hi Danny. It has been a while and the memory of you is still fresh in my mind. You are truly miss my friend. Your life and faith are an inspiration for me.

I know that God is true to His promise for you. One day, we’ll meet again. That day will be glorious!

    Love you brother!

I accidentally found this page and got moved by it. Very inspiring story.

  13. Perplexed says:

Whilst looking up some information about Lebanon, I accidentally found this page, and I was immediately captivated by your story. Your deep-rooted, solid faith in the creator is tremendously inspiring and moving. It leaves me quite overwhelmed, in tears. Thank you for this inspiring story.

  14. Shaz says:

Daniel, just reading about you briefly is such an inspiration. I know you’ve gone home now to glory, and I bet my late husband met you there, and I’ll bet you two are sharing stories as we speak. You two would hit it off, I just know. If you had met here on earth, you’d have been best friends. Anyway, I just thought I’d sign your guestbook and relate how wonderful your blog is to read. You were such a warrior for the Lord! Your character and your strength reminds me so much of my Wesley. I’ll bet that’s why God was ready for you two. You ran the race and finished it!! He welcomed you home!

At this time, I pray for peace and comfort for your family. I can tell them for certain that in the past year, God has given me much peace and comfort to live knowing I won’t have Wesley in this earthly life. My comfort is knowing that Wesley waits for me in paradise and I know it won’t be long (in the grand scheme of things) that I’ll see him again, and I know, too, that it won’t be long till I’ll see my Lord Jesus. I tell you, I can’t wait for that day…

Now, you and Wesley go enjoy yourselves, as I’m sure you will, and I will see you both someday soon!!

    In Christ’s love,

    Shaz

Thank You, Lord, for the life of Danny.

  17. Vanessa Iman Faraj says:

    WOW.

Always missing you habibi. Thanks to you and His Grace, I am now reading the Bible every day, and not just reading it, but meditating on His word and sharing it with others. 6 months ago I would’ve been embarrassed to talk to others about God, but now, now God is my favorite subject to talk about with others! You gave me such a priceless gift, and that is Jesus’ peace and love in my heart. You encouraged me so much and you keep doing so every day. And now I feel it’s my duty to encourage others just like you did me.
I’ve found such a beautiful peace, my worries are gone, I don’t worry about the future, my anxiety is gone, I am more joyful, I have so much more love to give and I give love to more people, I love life, I rejoice during trials. And I just want others to feel this new peace that I’ve found. I want others to be able to feel all of this. So I’ve made that my mission. I want everyone to find the hope that I’ve found (because of you), and that hope is Jesus.

You know, 2 and a half weeks ago I started having back pain. I had never suffered from back pain before, ever. And the pain that I started feeling was like no pain I had felt before, really. SOOOO terrible that I couldn’t sit, or stand or even lay down without feeling a terrible pain. I would wake up at 2-3am with this horrible pain. But for the first time in my life, I thanked God for my pain. At first, I asked God, not to take my pain away, but that I would be able to glorify Him with my pain. I asked Him let me experience His love more genuinely through my pain. And I told others that I was thankful because suffering makes us more Christ-like. While I was in the xray room at the hospital, all I could think about was you, Danny. I started crying while waiting for the results, just because I was praying and thinking about you and about everything you went through. If my pain was sooo strong, I can’t imagine all of the pain that you went through. It’s amazing, but thinking about your strength and about your faith in Christ, made me stronger in Christ. As the days passed and my pain increased, I asked God to spare me the pain, only if it was His will to do so. I told Him that whatever His will was for me, I would accept it, but that I also knew that He was able to heal me, just with one word my back would be as good as new. And that my trust would be put on Him completely. I am so amazed at His Grace…. I can say, that today, May 30th, 2011, my pain is completely gone, thank GOD! I praise You Lord, for You always hear our prayers, You never leave us alone, and You deliver us from evil always. Thank You, Lord. And Danny, thank you for being my inspiration, and that because of you, I was able to thank God for my back pain. And that I was able to praise Him for it, and that I was able to trust Him, to glorify Him and I never whined. Because of you, Danny, I am able to say now that I belong to Christ.

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DANNY!!!!!!!!!!

    • Jad says:

      God bless you!

      • Vanessa Iman Faraj says:

Amen. And God bless you! :)

This verse stood out for me right now:
HEBREWS 13:7-Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

I remember Danny all the time. He was a true leader and he still is. He spoke the word of God to me all the time and because of him, now I have such a hunger for God’s word. He always told me to read the bible every day, at least for 5 min. And I haven’t stopped, every day. And I don’t just read it out of haste, I read and meditate on it. I spread His word whenever possible with others.
His faith was an inspiration and his outcome (rejoicing in Heaven now next to Our Lord) is what I aim for. Jesus is the answer.
        Bless you all.

  18. Tino Fernandez says:

May “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”.

This must be very difficult for the Haddad family. Just be strong in the Lord.

    Jesus said,
I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.

God bless you with love, peace and joy.

  19. Marcia Steele says:

I feel very blessed to have spent time with Daniel and his family in New York. As it would turn out, Daniel and I had both traveled from Houston to see the same doctor in hopes of finding a cure. My girlfriend Donna and I spent a few very precious hours with him and his family while he was in the hospital. I could see that Daniel was very strong person, but was weak from his surgery. The love that his family shared filled the room. It was obvious that their trust in the Lord gave them the courage and strength they all needed to make it through each painful day.
I know you fought a good fight Daniel and you have touched my life forever. I will always think of you when things are tough for me and remember what I know of your last week here on earth. You are my inspiration!

  20. Lisa says:

What great faith Danny had. Not when things were easy but throughout his whole painful battle with cancer. I am sad to see that he is gone, but truly rejoicing that he is painfree and with his heavenly Father. My prayers are now with his family during this time .

  21. Beth says:

I never knew Danny…but my prayer was that someday I could meet him and thank him for his testimony and the glory he is giving his Lord.
Someday is still coming and Heaven is now. There I will get to meet him
and say thank you Danny. Until Then…

  22. marwan says:

    Hi Danny,

I have to admit that when I sat down to write this message I struggled. I struggled because I was saddened by the news and didn’t know quite how to express myself. But going through your page, my sadness slowly turned to encouragement and words came more easily, because even through your pain and suffering, you had the strength to look beyond yourself and inspire those around you. Reading through your entries and watching your videos, I can see how your family and friends came together, and the positive effect your faith had on them.

And this is why even though we have been half a world away, my family and I feel closer to you and your family now more than ever. You will continue to remain with us in spirit, and hopefully through your example, everyone’s life you touched will have more meaning.

    Always,

    Marwan and the Noueihed family

  23. Rosi Gonzalez says:

I didn’t know this wonderful man but his strength encourages me. He is with our Father in heaven enjoying life.

  24. Michelene Holmes says:

My prayers are with you and may the peace of the Lord shine upon Danny’s family.

  25. Rami Batarseh says:

I need to let Daniel’s family how much Daniel affected me. I had the chance to meet Danny, Joanne and parents once at my cousin’s house. I must say that Danny left a powerful first impression on me. During his service people were saying that he had a magnetic personality and I totally believe he did.
I pray to God that I have as much a strong faith as Danny did. Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to know Danny well, but through many people and his funeral service I feel blessed to have met him that once.
I pray the Lord consoles and strengthens all the family and friends.
Maybe one day I can get to know Danny’s family better because it would be a blessing to know you.

  26. John Fairhart says:

I met Danny in october of last year. It was truly an honor to meet and to get to know him even for this short period of time. He is such a great guy. I am so proud of him for keeping his faith and his love for the Lord while facing the ultimate test. At his funeral, I felt his presence in my heart and he was full of joy. Knowing that he is eternally joyful is comforting and I hope his family and friends will keep Danny in their conversations. Don’t think of him in the past tense….he is still alive….he has eternal life. He is not gone….we will all be together again:)

  27. Diana K. says:

I never got the chance to meet you personally but I heard a lot about you from my friends whom you went to school with in Kuwait. Your face looked so familiar though, as if I knew you since a very long time.
I read your blog after I heard the sad news. I couldn’t stop reading because I was astonished by your strength and by your faith. I have never seen anyone who believes in God as much as you did. You are an inspiration Daniel and a role model to lots of people!
I know you can’t read me anymore, but I’m sure you’ll be hearing my prayers …
You are resting in a better place now, a “pain free” place, and in the hands of your beloved God.
May God have mercy on your pure soul … Rest in Peace Daniel

  28. Ozzy says:

I never knew you but i randomly came across your blog through a friend on facebook but i wish i did know you :) stay strong brother and come back in another form to us :)

  29. Joel says:

You’ve done more in 26 years than many people do with three times as many. I thank God for his testimony that lives on through your legacy.

  30. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
    Proverbs 8:17

Danny is sleeping…it’s not the end..it’s just the beginning of a wonderful eternal life for him…this is our consolation..and that we will meet him again..

  32. Samar Sleiman says:

My Dear Friend and Faithful One – I will miss you so much. But, your smile and good spirit will always live! When we are on earth, we are suppose to be like Christ, but this can be a very tough task and yet you managed this huge mountain and kept on smiling and being faithful. In this process, you were the Light to others. You are true leader and an inspiring person. I am convinced that God uses the kids that know love him so much that they will respond to him, and you sure did. When, I fall into doubts, I now remember you – you fought so hard and kept your Faith in Christ. I Pray for your Family to have strength during this time. Until we meet again Danny. –Samar Sleiman

  33. Lydia says:

i’ve been thinking about you Daniel non-stop and reading your blog and testimony for the last 3 days ever since i knew :((( What an amazing life and faith!! You have truly fought the good fight and finished the race. You’ve gone to be with the Lord and you surely are in the place where there is no pain, no sorrow, no tears, but enjoying the company of your savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
i didn’t get to know Danny personally but i met Joanne and Basil in YFC Choir and HOME, here in Lebanon some years back… They are truly lovely people inside-out and i can’t imagine your grief right now but i know that your hope in seeing Danny up there far outweighs the loss. May God soothe and comfort the hearts of all the family, friends and loved ones. Danny, you still speak and shine even after your departure. Thank you for setting such an inspiring example! Many are challenged and blessed, i know i am!

Untill we meet again dear danny, may God Hold you in the palm of his hand and open his doors to paradise danny,
Rest in peace brother, i wont forget you

  39. Andrew says:

It’s amazing reading all these comments. So many people started w/ “I never met Dan”, yet he touched so many people’s lives. I am one of those people. What a legacy from just one person. I hope people can maybe say that about me when I’m gone. I watched the videos and was so amazed by his resolve to live for God. I can honestly say he was such an inspiration to me. It’s funny that someone who I’ve never met can be more of an inspiration than people I have known for years.

I can’t think of a better verse to sum up the feelings of what other people are saying. I was reading a Christian commentary that said the ironic thing (for the Christian) is that after death, we are more alive than we have ever been. That is the victory Christ gave us when He rose from the dead. When I think of Easter, I will think back to the victory Dan now has through the sacrifice of Christ.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
    2 Timothy 4:7

Dan – I am sure you are enjoying your prize after a hard fought race. Thank you for finishing.

  40. Tarek Saliby says:

Dany, when I read the news on facebook, I was devastated. I remember the old Sunday school classes, and how special you were.
I know that God, who you are with right now, will compensate with His presence all the pain that world caused you.
May your young and fresh legacy follow you in bearing fruit for Christ forever.
Though we have not met for a while, but you carried a portion of my heart.

    Rest in Peace,

    See you in heaven, Brother.

  41. Louay Khraish says:

Very courageous young man. Truly inspiring!!!

  42. Hiba, Nancy, Lilia & Mariam Nusrally says:

    Until we meet again,
may God Hold you in the palm of his hand
Rest in peace Danny we wont forget you

  43. jenny says:

I’ll be praying for your family and friends in their time of sadness away from you but they will see you again one day!

  46. Danny Rashid says:

    Danny,

I met you out quite a few times here in Houston in the past, I had no idea about the stuggle you were going through until yesterday. You are in a much better place im sure. May you rest in peace.

    Danny Rashid

  47. Tera Saliba Ghoussoub says:

We have never met, but your story touched me deeply. You fought a good fight. You are in a better place we are the ones who are suffering now.
It is true that he was taken from us too soon, and I think you share my sentiment that it feels a little unfair that such a smart and talented young man’s life has ended with so much living left to do. It is my firm belief that bad things that happen to good people serve a greater good, and Danny’s death will, I believe, teach us all something if we only let ourselves be taught. Right now, we all are trudging through the mourning process, but with support from friends and family, I think we can find ourselves whole again.

    God rest your soul.

  48. Maroushka says:

    Rosanna

  50. Christina says:

I’ve never met Daniel, and only knew of him when someone posted this blog on Facebook. I am truly touched by his story. What an inspiration. May his soul rest in peace with the angels above.

  51. Jodee says:

From the comments below I have come to assume that YOU HAVE BEEN HEALED! My soul stirs in confusion as I come to realize the reality of what is. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” As my head and heart stir, and are hurting for your family, I will stand on faith…having faith that you are HEALED, SINGING FOR JOY with our SAVIOR! What a joy! Praying for the family. Praying that you would have peace that surpasses all understanding. Praying that our Great God’s grace would pour on you, that you would have a JOY for what is to come. But also, comfort in knowing that Jesus weaps with our loss. Praying for you.

  52. Jana Mitri AlDayaa says:

    Danny:

You fought a great fight and you are and will always be an inspiration. You brought courage and strong faith to all that knew you. You are one of a kind and your smile will never be forgotten.

Watch over us and give us some of the strength you had.

Our prayers go to your mom, dad, Basil and Joanne. May God grant them peace with your earthly departure and give them strength through the coming days.

Rest in Peace friend and may your memory be eternal.

  53. Suzanne Jones says:

Your life is beautiful … you have run the race and ended well–as you glorified God in every way IN EVERYTHING you loved and honored him.
Thank you Danny for the light you have brought in our lives. You are a light that is set upon a hill that cannot be hidden!

You are my God; have mercy on me, Lord,
for I call to you all day long.
Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust in you. ”

Thinking of you… and praying for you in this moment,
    Jordan

  64. MARRIA says:

Sweet lady! It is amazing the times and feelinga we each pass day by day stuggling to know His purpose! He only has one: that we may be saved from a horrible eternity. Our brother Daniel has just went to be with the Lord our God His Saviour. Although he may have experienced fear through his journey, through Daniel’s posts you will read that He had one thing he knew 100%: he is able to trust God that He has saved him and has given him a greater purpose in life and a greatest life there after!

    Danny,
George and I continue to pray for you and your precious family. Your blog has encouraged me to continue to fix my eyes – and my hope on Christ.

“… fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Heb 12:2

I am praying today that He will build you up and sustain you.

  70. Monica says:

    Hi Danny-

I met you at Grapevine 2008. You were in my small group. I remember the awesome times we had and deep conversations had in our group and feeling so connected to the few people in our group I had met for the first time, including yourself. I have been following your blog and feel SO encouraged by your faith and positive attitude through it all. You really have effected so many people in such a powerful way through this whole journey. I will continue praying for you and pray for peace and comfort from pain in this time. Thanks again for being so vulnerable and honest on this site and not being ashamed of your faith.

“Cast all your anxiety on HIM because He cares for you.”

    In Christ,

  71. Aziz Haddad says:

    Danny,

I’m praying for you bro! I was rereading through your site and as usual something new would stand out. This time it was Basil’s letter – “A Letter from my Bro.” After reading it I was very encouraged, and I wanted to note something especially important (to me anyway).

What stood out for me was he said you had received a “peace that transcends all understanding! WOW!! That got me; and I stopped to really contemplate what that meant. So many of us don’t really know what that truly means – to be “at peace” with something. There’s a tremendous confidence associated with that. In fact the Apostle Paul, and the writer of Hebrews mentions this confidence in several places, but the ones that got me thinking were, Phil 1:6, Rom 8:38-9, Heb 4:16, and the one Basil referred to, Phil 4:7.

So often the “busy-ness” of life drowns out the Truth. But Basil said you had this peace and confidence – and I believe him! And in these days of high “uncertainty”, it’s really hard to be confident about anything. But we are confident in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Danny, thanks for being a pillar of faith, a rock of strength, and a tremendous source of encouragement. Based on Basil’s encouraging letter, the passages mentioned above, and also inspiration from Psalm 27, I’ve written the following prayer – in hopes that it may encourage, strengthen, and bless you. You’re a tremendous inspiration to me. And I’m praying for you, continually, in every prayer!! May God grant you healing, strengthen and bless you abundantly.

    In Christ,
    Aziz

    Prayer of Thanksgiving

Lifting my eyes up to Heaven, oh God,
Giving thanks to You this very day,
For the Gift of Life in Christ Jesus,
For the path that leads to the Righteous Way.
Grant me daily strength to praise You,
    This only do I pray;
To honor You at every breath, and
To hear Your voice, submit, and obey.

With boldness I draw near Your throne,
    I’m reminded to take courage, let go of fear;
    I find Your grace, and receive Your mercy;
To the penitent heart, You’ve made it clear.
    Beyond all logic and understanding,
You are my Peace – confident, yet sincere.
    You are the Joy of my Salvation;
Christ guards my heart, and I persevere.
He is my protection; He is my Strength.
Of whom then, shall I fear?
Of whom then, shall I fear?

My confidence rests in You, oh Lord,
To complete the work which You’ve begun,
To run the race You’ve set before me,
    To boldly glorify the Son.
My confidence in Christ knows no boundary,
    Simply to consider all You’ve done;
My King has defeated all my enemies,
And with a triumphant victory, He’s won!

I’m convinced now that nothing can separate
    Your amazing Love through Christ from me;
No depths or heights or angels or powers,
Jesus my Savior, and my Surety.
And I’m convinced now to strive and praise You,
    To earn heavenly crowns that last eternally;
I thank You Lord for the gift of Faith,
And I thank You Lord, for You have revealed this to me!

    - Asking these things with faith, and in thanksgiving, and in Jesus’ precious and Holy name, Amen.

    • Vanessa I. Faraj says:

      AMEN.

Simply beautiful, Aziz. What a blessing this prayer will be to anyone who reads it, and especially to Danny.
I was also really blessed when I read Basil’s letter to Danny. What a beautiful letter! And that sentence you mentioned: “peace that transcends all understanding” really stood out for me, too. It’s so amazing and it’s God’s promise for us in the Bible. Danny is such a wonderful and perfect example of this.

Danny, you’re my inspiration and to you I owe my reborn Faith. You led me back to Christ and that right there is priceless. I have no idea how I’m ever going to be able to pay you back for this. Just know that I will be forever thankful and that I will always bless the day you were born. I will always bless the day that I met you.
I know you are God’s Ambassador, and that you will continue to lead more people to His holy Grace.
Thank you for showing me that no matter the circumstances, God never leaves us, God never abandons us. He is hearing our prayers and I am so sure that His beautiful, holy Hands have already healed you.
I love you in Christ. May God keep blessing you every minute of every day, forever.
And Aziz, God bless you, too. This really is a beautiful message. Thank you for sharing.

    Daniel,
If I could take your pain away I would in a heart beat. I know we have not been friends for a long time but I do cherish all of the talks we had while we worked together. I pray for you every day and I am just sorry that you have had to go through such an ugly illness. You have taught so many people around you how not to give up and to always remember to look up to the Lord no matter what. I have always admired your strength in everything that you do and that you will be open about your faith. You are teaching so many around you. You are a blessing to many.
    Your friend,

  74. Gwen Wolfe says:

    Hi Danny,

I just wanted you to know that you are in my prayers daily. I forgot that you hade this blog. Just reading about you experience is really a blessing to see how God has and is working in your life.

Faith is not Faith until it is lived out and it really seems as though you are doing that so courageously (James 2:26). Reading the letter from your brother shows that God is at work in your life even through the pain.

I pray that God’s will is glorify though and in your life. I also pray for healing so that you may continue to draw other to Christ. My pastor says that “the reason God saves us is to put His life on display through us.

It is God’s choice whether to heal or not to heal, but we alway ask for healing in Jesus name and hope that it is in His Soverign plan to do so. But as you stated in your blog “though my pain brings tear to my heart, thinking of Jesus puts a smile on my face. God is amazing and does not leave His children” He is amazing and I believe that he will do what you ask, and I pray that He gives you the strenght to endure to the end. I prayerfully wait for the good new to come. I can not get out of my mind what your mother said the doctor told them with arrogance it seemed.

We must remember that God does not cease to be God if He takes you home live there forever in a perfect place. This too would be a miracle.

    To God be the Glory!

  76. Alexandra says:

    A Prayer for Danny’s Mother

The first time I held baby boy in my arms
My heart was melted by his charms
He looked at me and smiled so dear
I see God’s love so precious and near
I laughed as he waddled and learned to walk
I cooed and coaxed as he learned to talk
My little boy was not little for long
He grew and he grew and became so strong
But not just his body developed with time
His heart and his faith with Christ did align
And now stands before me a true Godly man
A miracle so great and all in God’s plan
How could I have been Blessed by such wonderful Love
It could only be a gift from our Heavenly Father above

  77. Alexandra says:

    Dear Danny and Family,

When I pray for you, Luke 7:1-7 is the model I use. I know that I am face to face with Jesus, and I can see the compassion in His eyes. I think that I feel a tear drop every now and then as He gently listens to our requests. I do not write this to be maudlin, nor to seem “extra” spiritual, I just want you to know that we are bearing the yoke together with Jesus. I know that I have taken a quite a bit of liberality with these verses, but I believe that God wants His words to be current and personal; not just wonderful stories in a great Book

    Luke 7:1-10 (Alexandria’s revised version )

    Luke 7
    Jesus Heals a Loyal Servant

When Jesus had completed all His discourse in the hearing of the people, He went to Houston. And a young man, who was highly regarded by many, was sick and about to die. Christians from around the world are asking Jesus to save the mortal life of Danny. We earnestly implore Jesus, saying, “Danny is worthy for You to grant this to him; for he loves our nation and he is building Your Church.”

Now Jesus started on His way with them; and when He was not far from the house, the Christians sent friends, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself further, for we are not worthy for You to come under our roof; For this reason we often do not consider ourselves worthy to come to You, but just say the word, and Danny will be healed. For we are placed under authority, and when we are told to ‘Go!’ we go, and when we are told , ‘Come!’ we come, and to, ‘Do this!’ we do it.”

Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled at us, and turned and said to the crowd that was following Him, “I say to you, not even in the world have I found such great faith.” When we who had been sent returned to the house, we found Danny in good health.

And God has given us this promise in Lamentations 3:21-27

This I recall to my mind,
    Therefore I have hope.
The LORD’S loving kindnesses indeed never ceases,
    For His compassions never fail.
    They are new every morning;
    Great is Your faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I have hope in Him.”
The LORD is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him.
It is good that he waits silently
For the salvation of the LORD.
It is good for a man that he should bear
    The yoke in his youth.

  78. Greg Reid says:

Hi Daniel, I enjoyed reading your website today and you are such a living testimony to the grace and goodness of Jesus Christ and your difficulty can only be compared to Job himself. You have fought the good fight and not only kept yournfaith firm but significantlyndeepened your faith through your challenges.

All of your old colleagues now at Salient are praying for God to miraculously heal you and we will keep you in our prayers daily until we receive news of your healing. God works on his own timeline and you can only do your part and let God don his part according to his greater purpose.

  80. Mimi says:

Hi Danny, just wanna share with you three powerful verses:

    John 14: 13-14

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

    1 John 5:14-15

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us- whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

    Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

We rely on God’s word that never changes, the one constant in life…and we follow a victorious King and are more than conquerors through Him….As i told Joanne before, what is cancer to our God? Nothing Nothing Nothing….He can blow it away like a dust…We’re trusting God and will keep praying and praising Him for what He already did and will do…May He be greatly glorified in you Danny…

  81. Christine Zakhem says:

    Hi Danny,
I have been checking up on you and your progress by looking at your website, i just also just saw your u tube message. I have to be honestly every 2 minutes i would bust into tears, mainly because of how much you are in pain all over your body. Sorry i have not been by the hospital to see you yet Mimi and joe told me but i have not faced my fears yet since i lived there fro 9 months during the care and treatment of my Dad’d cancer. Please let em know when you return to Houston , Bassem and i would like to come and visit and pray with you. During my quite time in the morning i often have you in my thoughts and on my heart especially your family cause i know how they feel.
I want you to know what a great influence of change you had on my life and also now though your journey with cancer and God.
You brought me to The ACH ” remember when you invited Giselle, she could not stop talking about how great you all were and slowly i joined the family too” and since then i have been born again and now i will know God as my personally savior when I die of this earthly body and not as a judge.
Being Born again meaning being born twice on this earth so we will only die once and live forever , I hope your testimony on U tube will reach others so that they are not just born once because then they will die twice once on this earth and then again no eternally life either another death.
I am so happy to see you fighting your battles on your knees with God , and not relaying on Doctor or your own strength and knowledge.
Looking forward to see you and your family soon, i am not goign to stop praying Danny, Faith has two parts first is the patience the second is praise

  84. Alexandra says:

    Dear Danny and Family,

This passage was part of my morning devotional and I wanted to let you know that I consider you to be one of those abundant blessings in my life!
As I am able to witness your faith, joy and perseverance; I can see Christ.

    Thank you

Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul,
    And forget none of His benefits;
    Who pardons all your iniquities,
    Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
    Who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion;
Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
    The LORD performs righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are oppressed.
He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the sons of Israel.
The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness.
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

  87. Alexandra says:

    Dearest Danny,

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. My name is Alexandra and I am sister in Christ of Ramzi, Magida and DiDi Sabra. I want you to know that our Community Harvest will be fasting and praying for you and your family tomorrow.

    God’s says. . .

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble
themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will
forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

We are God’s people, and we shall join in prayer for you and your family.

    I know that God hears and that Jesus has compassion; however, I do not know what God’s perfect will is for you;

Yet His word proclaims. . .

2 I the LORD, declare the plans I have for you are plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Be it here on Earth or at Home in Heaven

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

4 who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

5 For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.

    6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer;

7 and our hope for you is firmly grounded, knowing that as you are sharers of our sufferings, so also you are sharers of our comfort.

    8 For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life;

9 indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises
    the dead;

10 who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us,

I am writing to request that you accompany me in fasting and praying for Danny Haddad and his family tomorrow.tomorrow,

    Dear Danny and Family,
Our hearts and prayers are with you, and thank you for blessing us with your wonderful example of faith and perseverance. Your testimony is uniting a community of believers, whom God is training to live on their knees. “To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified” Isaiah 61:3

    Dear Danny,

I find it weird to write to a total stranger that I just discovered 15 minutes ago, but after reading your blog and discovering what you are going through and how you are handling it, I must say man I am amazed.
You are really lucky to be this blessed and at peace with yourself, your family and God!

You really touched my heart with your website entries, your thoughts, your quotes, your will and struggles!
I feel I’m so foolish worrying about my daily boring life when someone like you who is going through all this is so much pleased and reconciled with himself and God! You are even thankful and considering it a blessing!

I will pray for you and your family and hope that God will help you and heal you, but whatever happens be sure that it will be a happy ending, because you will be with God no matter what happens!

I hope some day when I’ll have to face my own struggles that I will have 10% of your will and courage and peace of mind!
You are such a model, such an inspiration and such a good soul, I hope you get what you deserve and believe me when I say I do care for you even though I don’t know you, I really care…

God bless you and heal you very soon!

    Dan,
It is a blessing and privilege to be a friend of yours. Your website encourages the heart, provokes the mind and even puts to shame us who complain about different things in life. Your faith shines through it all. May God bless you immensely and continue to bless others through your testimony. I love you, brother.

Hi Daniel. I have a brother named Daniel. Thanks for sharing your story.
I am inspired to love my family, friends, life and God more. My friend Alexandra in TX told me about your situation. While I was reading your site the hymn “All Hail the Power of Jesus Name” came to mind and I started singing it. I felt what seemed the anointing of God on my body, which is not typical when I am singing praise songs. I am also praying Isaiah 59:19 “So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” (KJV)

God Bless You & your family!

a doctor is a human being, just like all of us are, thus he can’t and even doesnt have the right to confirm a death prior to its happening,he can’t even estimate the survival rate, cause of ze following reasons:
-Many people were told they were gonna die bcoz of cancer, mom is one of them, and thnk God she is here by my side,7 years later, and in a very good shape.
-Each person reacts differently 2 a specific cancer form,so when one dies another can be saved.
-and 3rd,of course, only God knows when our mission in this world comes 2 an end.

  101. Robert says:

    Dear Dani,

I heard the following story and I thought of sharing it with you after reading your latest post.

There are 2 seas that flowed , but they are very different from each other.
The one called Galilea Sea, is a big lake with clear drinkable water. Fishes live there and people can swim in it. It is also surrounded by green beautiful gardens and farms. Many people built their houses next to it, and Jesus sailed on the lake several times.

On the other hand, the other sea is called the Dead Sea. It was named so because anything inside it is dead. The water is so salty that if people drink from it, it would just make them even more thirsty. There are no fishes in the lake, nor does anyone live around it. Nobody wants to live next to it for its bad smell.

One very interesting point about them, is that there is a river that flows into them. The Jordan River flows in to the Galilea Sea and flows out from the bottom of it. The lake uses the water that flows from the Jordan River and passes it to other lakes for their own use.

The Jordan River flows into the Dead Sea as well, but never flows out. So what makes the two different?
Simple, the first lake receives and gives. The second one only receives and selfishly keeps it for itself.
That is the reason why it’s dead and therefore called the Dead Sea, for it receives, but does not give.

Dani..you have received God’s Grace and you are now giving out your testimony which is a very valuable life saving tool to many…
You are more alive and you are healthier than many who are not physically suffering from any disease…
Keep giving what you have received and God will bless you… :)

      Robert,

Your comment is one of the most beautiful and poignant stories I have ever heard. God has blessed you with the ability to write in such a manner that brings words to life and the reader becomes part of the story. Much like Jesus. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

  104. Jessica Bostany says:

    Danny,
You are in my prayers everyday. Your strength, hope, and love for Christ has inspired and motivated me. We are so blessed to have God in our lives and I know he has a plan for you so continue to trust in him even through this tough time. When you are in pain just remember it is a sacrifice for all sinners just as Jesus Christ, the children of Fatima, and so many others have sacrificed there pain. I have complete faith in miracles of healing as I have seen so many in my family, stay strong and never let go of hope :). Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless you and your family!
    All my Love,
    Jessica

  105. Teresa says:

Daniel, Thank you for sharing your life with me through your site. My online friend, Robert Haddad, shared the link with me. Your trust in the Lord and your spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving bring honor to the one who saved you, Jesus Christ. He is so very trustworthy. Keep up the good work, Daniel. I can see that your words are a great encouragement to many people. There’s nothing you’ll go through that is more difficult than what He went through for us at the cross, yet many (if not most) people begin to doubt His love when they face trials. This world is not our home! One day each of us who believe will leave this flesh behind and join God in eternity. On that day, I believe you are one to whom He’ll say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away”. Revelation 21:4

    Hi Daniel.
I work with a friend of yours, Mahmoud, and got onto the conversation of blogs etc etc and he shared yours with me. I just wanted to say that your life and your faith inspire me. God has used you in ways that you cannot believe. I hope you know that when your friends mention you, they mention your unbelievable faith in God so you really are a shining light in a dark world. Trusting God for an exciting road to recovery. May he hold you super tight in his hand.

  112. Rasha Abujaber says:

Wow…This is such an amazing website Daniel! I love every part of it!
Sadly, it seems very rare to see people sharing what the Lord is doing in their lives with such humility and honesty as you’re doing. It is so encouraging and refreshing to see how much the Lord is doing in your life, in your heart, and to see you how much you are trusting in Him. Thank you for being such a great encouragement and testimony. We’re praying for you.

  113. Ferris Beainy says:

I met Daniel on facebook around five years ago. Daniel is a very passionate person who loves Lebanon and is a proud Lebanese. we became friends after both having a similar way of thinking and the same enthusiasm toward Lebanon.

I had the chance to meet Daniel in person a couple of times in Lebanese conventions, we kept in touch through facebook and phone. But lately life got both of us busy, and we didn’t talk much.

It can’t really describe my feelings when I learned of Daniel’s case. I was in denial state, i think my brain refused to believe it, I kept following Danny’s progress through his facebook, I never talked to him after I knew about it, I just didn’t want to confirm, I didn’t want to believe…

    Daniel,

Thanks for being my friend, I think you’re a great person, a very caring and loving friend. I am very happy to know how strong in your faith you are. Never give up my friend, I am sure everything will be fine.
A message of love and support from all your friends in Oklahoma: We love you Daniel !!!

  115. Lana Nimri says:

    Hi Danny:
I heard a lot about you from our Pastor Mounir. I read what you have wrote on your web page.”Do not be afraid” was mentioned in the Bible 365 times. One for each day. God is using you and working through you . How blessed that God actually got to choose you to help Him in spreading his name and to turn the lemons that life can give you into lemonade and add sugar to it and actullay get to enjoy it.
    In His Name,
    Lana

  116. Sami says:

Your Dec 16 Blog entry is so powerful and real. It is so evident that you are being carried by the everlasting arms of our Lord. Deuteronomy 33:27, “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are His everlasting arms”. It is so obvious … so obvious. When I was praying for you He also led me to the book of Ecclesiastes and refelected the same vision. Daniel, it is so obvious that He is still in full control – it shows how much He loves you. Through it all, He is holding you very, very tight (John 10:29) … you are Daniel in the den of Sarcoma Lions, yet, just like Daniel in the old, Daniel the new is protected by His angels.

  117. Oula Haddad says:

Hi Danny, thank you so much for blogging about your journey. I am letting my friends know about your site so that your message will reach and inspire even more people as they pray for you. I read a quote once which was powerful “Don’t tell God how big your problems are, tell you problems how big your God is”
I pray for you to be strengthened in body and spirit…

  118. sally says:

Dan…made it here bro…we need to do a lunch/dinner sometime if possible. I wanted to share a note that my boss shared…..hope you find it encouraging/relevant. I continue keeping you in my prayers.

    Necessary Losses

Frequently Wrong but Never in Doubt

It is a depressing time in the garden….. the bright colors are gone…… faded into brown or sickly yellow…. …the few hostas left standing are tattered and yellow, stems laying on the ground and rapidly melting into dirt….. … ferns are no longer ….the Solomon Seal are all broken and faded to white….the lush leaves of the climbing hydrangea are gone – a stark twisted skeleton left behind…..only the stiff stems and black cones of the Echinacea are left……..1
The supposedly bright colors of fall are now mostly gone – leaves are a lifeless brown – the ash tree in the backyard stands out as a bright cheery yellow – but those leaves will soon be scattered by the wind as well….
…..Even the liriope and pachysandra, supposedly evergreen, are covered with wet leaves……. The cold drizzle takes away any cheery outlook…. the breeze gives me chills…… the grey heavy clouds loom overhead and weigh down on a spirit of hope……2
The first frost stuck to my lone tomato plant like deep stroke….it was left debilitated with only parts still alive…. and those parts were waiting death….3
For a couple of weeks now I have been scrambling to stay ahead of the march of winter…. Moving my Elephant Ears, canna lilies, New Guinea impatience and other annuals inside to seek refuge from the frigid air that would soon kill them….. 4
…. the cold and snow are hard on pots – I move most inside to protect them from cracking – for those too large to move I have to cover with large plastic trash cans – ugly grey industrial things from Rubbermaid …they are a blight on the landscape ……..5
……. the makeshift greenhouse under my deck is no substitute for a real garden…… it is a small green refuge and the fearless geraniums continue to bloom – but it is not a place that brings joy – it has the depressing feel of a prison or hospital …..Actually more like a nursing home….. The plants are crammed in close – the grow lights only barely keep the plants alive while aphids, disease and dry air take a heavy toll as the cold dark weeks drag on…….6
It is a sad time…… darkness stalks……like an annoying, insensitive guest…. Showing up way too early in the afternoon …..And lingering much too long in the morning…….. That magic day, December 21, is now only 39 days away …. that is the day the encroachment of darkness is stopped – and reversed – on that day the days slowly begin to get longer ……. 7
I know….. I know ……..the glory of spring will come…. It does every year….. But right now it is very distant….. far far away ……8
Many years ago during a time of personal trial a friend gave me a book – Necessary Losses by Judith Viorst …. I have to admit that I bristled at the title…..as I made my half hearted start I had low expectations…I was sure I would find the typical feel good psychobabble crap that would leave me more angry……9
Instead I underlined lines and paragraphs…. I turned page corners…. And I have pulled it down from the book shelves many times when I felt the need to remember the ideas….10
In a way the title of the book is the message…… Necessary Losses ……Viorst argues that it is only through loss that we can mature into adults …..and become ourselves… losing the protection of our mother and going to first grade gives us room to grow…. losing our families and the high school friends when we go to college allows another stage of maturing…… and gradually losing our children to their own lives allows parents, or forces parents, to regain and recreate their personal lives……
Growing old is the process of losing our youth, letting go of ideas that no longer fit, moving past unrealistic expectations and delusions……11
Viorst, of course, delves into the more painful and personal losses – the death of friends and family – she describes mourning as the process of letting go – and defining again who we are – who we are in the absence of that loved one….. In essence maturing again…. A loss creates the opportunity, welcome or not, to further grow…….12
Last year a close friend went through a very painful and difficult divorce – after 25 years of marriage his wife called him out of the blue and said it’s over. I felt his pain and anguish…… his children were grown and he was left alone – really alone…..and I worried about him….13
I shouldn’t have – the unseen constraints and confines he endured for so long had hidden a very different person….. After a very short time he found a new friend and a new personality is rapidly emerging – much happier, more social and more confident….. Like a cicada emerging from its shell and spreading its wings… a necessary loss – actually an overdue and much needed loss…. 14
I sense our careers or EVEN OUR HEALTH are quite similar ….losses force change we would have never dared attempt… losses create new opportunities we cannot not yet see… or even imagine. They force us to reevaluate and choose again what we want and what we do best….. I like the quote from Tennessee Williams: 15
“There is a time for departure even when there’s no certain place to go”
So I will mourn my garden…… and begin that winter ritual of pulling out my garden books and catalogues to imagine what it could be next year ….16
What should be discarded… new plants that would freshen things up…. 17
Do you know about Christmas ferns?? Most ferns, while beautiful, are also very tender and fragile – the first to die away in a drought or after a freeze. But Christmas ferns are an anomaly – they are evergreen, hence their name. They grow wild here in Virginia… when I go for my walks in the woods now I am always amazed how many I see…….I had forgotten they were there… they were hidden by the thick lush overgrowth of summer……the overgrowth that has now been lost …. Only to reveal again the rich green and sturdy leaves of the abundant Christmas ferns….18

    Necessary losses??? Oh yes.

Hey Daniel, I don’t know you personally but i heard about you from my church (the Karantina Alliance Church) and i’ve been reading your blog lately.

I want to thank for being such a blessing to many, me especially. Glorifying the Lord above everything, being strong and taking life from Him no matter what.
Obviously you do not lack faith or courage in our Lord but i pray you hang on to His Blood the blood that was poured for your salvation, for your healing … and ask to be healed with the authority of the son.

  126. Mahmoud Chemaitelly says:

    Dan,

I remember, 12 years ago, when we were back in Grand Lycee in Lebanon, when I sat next you in class, you had a strong and competitive nature. One of which was incomparable to everyone. Amazingly 12 years later, I still feel that strength and competitiveness, as I read through every single post, and I still get flashbacks of these amazing & youthful days, as if they were yesterday.
Keep and stay strong, keep being competitive and fight it through.

I am praying for you everyday my brother. Your faith is beautiful and inspiring to us all.

    Regards,
    Your Houstonian brother, Mahmoud

  127. Sami Lahoud says:

    1 Peter 1:7
I have shared with you my thoughts on this journey, however, I would like to add one more. I have already witnessed the best miracle in your life, which is the transformation of your faith, the work of our Father in your life and thus your new and powerful ministry. PTL. His Hands, His Touch and His Presence are obvious in your life. He is not done with you yet. I am carrying you to our Father with the same message in John 11:1-45. Lord my brother, Your son, the one you love is sick. However, similarly, our Lord knew that he would do a great miracle in your life for His glory and, therefore, he is not in a hurry, yet in full control. Until then, it is obvious that you are one of the listed in 1 Corinthians 12:9 ( and to some He gave the gift of faith – which is different than regular faith). He gave you an extra dose of faith since He knew you will be faithful under fire. I am carrying you, my brother, to our Lord daily (Luke 5:17-20). Love you. Your bother in Basra.

Hi Danny, I don’t know you personally; however we have many mutual friends in Houston and here in Wash. DC. I just want to let you know that I pray for you everyday and will continue to do so. Back in April I heard your story and I heard about another friend’s tragedy in the same week -I keep you both in prayer; I also see God changing hearts. Our friend was in a car accident and he became paralyzed from the waist down (he’s 29 years old). His recovery has been a real struggle and he has been through unimagineable pain.
Thank you for sharing your journey with everybody, you are touching people that you may never even meet. I hope the messages and prayers will renew and strengthen your spirit.

    Daniel,

I have not known you long, but I am grateful to have met you. Your personality is brighter now than when I first met you (and that’s not just because we met in a dimly lit Pei Wei :)

Keep smiling and the whole world will smile with you.

  131. S says:

I am deeply pained to read about your latest news and somehow wish I wasn’t so far away from you from well before you began dealing with all of this. But I am tremendously inspired, as I always have been by your affection, your ebullience, your spirit, your example, and by the kindness you have constiently shown me and by the belief you are now bringing to your ongoing struggle with this unbelievable setback. I will always always always think fondly of the many times in which you were part of my life, the countless ways in which you were there for me; I can’t even count. And you will always be part of mine. I miss you immensely. I feel attached and worried about having not seen you for I don’t know how long but at some level I also know the best lies ahead for you no matter how painful or dire things seem; that that’s the kind of spirit you have and have always had; that that’s the kind of person you are. A lot of people probably know you as “incredible,” incredibly talented, incredibly fun, incredibly intelligent, but what I will always know is you were incredibly generous, incredibly kind, incredibly compassionate, and incredibly loving to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you gave.

  132. Joe Nasser says:

Awesome site. Keep doing what you are doing and I will keep praying for you man. I am ready for you to come back so we can have a arm wrestling match in some kind of office environment like old times.

Nothing has been usual about you including your cancer and I am thinking your recovery will be unusual and unexpected as well.

    Praying for you!
    God Bless!

    Danny!!

This web site is amazing, I love it! You certainly put your heart into it. I spent over two hours reading through it at work, since I got your email this morning.. (shhh, dont tell my boss!!). I particularly love the tabs in The Message section – thats awesome! Very well thought out. Of course I also really love the blog updates!! Keep ‘em coming bro! Oh, and “NO” I never wanted to see how you looked in a skirt… but thx for sharing! haha. :-D

But seriously and most of all, I especially love your strengthened faith. You’re a rock man! To echo Basil’s words, “I’m blown away by your faith and courage…” I cannot express to you how much of an inspiration your are to me. Your strength, faith, conviction, courage, and love, while they are all blessings from above, are all a tremendous blessing to me, and I’m sure others as well. God has blessed you with a voice, and you’ve given it right back to Him, through this web site.

I’m praying for you everyday, and I know that God will continue to bless you and use you in amazing ways, as He’s done so already. You’re a blessing and inspiration to me man. Love you bro.

    In Christ,
    Aziz

  134. Maya says:

This is just so beautiful. Thank you for encouraging all of us to continue looking to Him and trusting Him despite the season of life. Your faith and your testimony have been a bold witness to the nations. May Jesus continue shining in and through you. May His power and strength equip you to unabashedly proclaim His truth and His covenant promise to His beloved children. I know Jesus holds you in the palm of His hands, and there you will ever more find safety, peace and rest. Love you and praying for you and your precious family always.
In Christ Jesus our LORD we trust and hope and believe,

  137. RFU says:

    Daniel,
I am one of Basil’s friends. He told a group of his brothers in Christ here in the DC area about about your current health challenges, your faith, & your sense of humor. We are your brothers too. Basil also told me about your blog.
My heart goes out to you. I am already one of the many people praying for you, and I am going to keep praying for you.
Your witness to the Lord, and your trust in Him is inspiring! It takes courage and trust to face cancer in the way you are. I am also struck by the courage in the ways you share your story.
Daniel, I have a Scripture for you,
    Psalm 118:17-18,
“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Though the Lord has indeed chastized me, yet he has not delivered me to death.”
I also commend to you James 5:13-18, especially verse 16, “The fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much,” I know that Basil is there in Texas now. Tell him that he has my permission to share with you how good God has been to me, a sinner.
The Holy Spirit has placed Christians in my journey who are, and have been, mature in their faith. obedience, & who have long historiies of serving Him whole-heartedly. I am deeply grateful to Him and to them.
Because of my bouts of cancer, I identify with your experiences of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, colonoscopies, exhaustion, etc.
When fear and anxiety start to insinuate themselves into my thinking, I recognize that they are tools of our implacable enemies, satan & his minions. However natural those emotions are, I know I need to call friends and family lest I be overwhelmed. I’ve also compiled a partial list of Scriptures that speak directly into fear & anxiety. I can tell that you have been doing the same things.
Psalm 103 comes almost immediately to mind. I remind myself that the Word says that both Jesus and the Holy Spirit are interceding for me, and that these two members of The Holy Trinity have Hearts exactly identical to our Abba, Father. Romans 8:26 “…the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but The Spirit Himself interces with inexpressible groanings.”
Jesus commanded the apostles and His other disciples to go out and declare His Kingdom and heal the sick. He has NOT changed His game plan. He is eager for the whole world to know that He is the King of all that is, and that His very nature is Love, Holiness, Mercy, & Compassion.
Lord, I pray that you restore Daniel to good health. Please grant him a miraculous cure of any cancer or precancerous cell in every part of his body. No matter what, he clearly intends to glorify your Name. But I ask You, Lord, to restore him to good health so that he can testify irrefutably that You are the Divine Physician and Healer.
Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
    Fenner

  138. Jill Olmstead says:

    Dear Danny,

My husband, Woody, and I are friends of Basil’s. I learned of your cancer several months back. My own mom was diagnosed with a very serious case of mulitple myeloma two years ago this Dec 17th. The docs gave her three months to live, but the Lord blessed us and she is in remission (after a very tough year of treatments). I think having survived the emotional rollercoaster that is the BIg C has given us a heart for you. Woods and I pray for you everyday, for healing and for peace. We are so encouraged to hear of your faith and heart for God despite this trial. We are loving you and cheering for you from afar!

    Your Sister in Christ,
    Jill Olmstead

This website is part of the incredible ministry you are fulfilling for God’s glory and what a great site! I love you deeply. And although we are praying for you always, may it be your faith that draws you nearer to Him and may it be that same faith that heals you!

Daniel Haddad! Great website! You’re doing an amazing job here. God bless you abundantly! You’re healed in Him and no doubt one day you’ll also be writing a book about this journey. God is willing to be glorified through you before your friends all over the world. This unstoppable disease is only to bring down any earthly glory and lift up the Lord’s name alone.

Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

GLOBAL SALVATION in Titus 2:11-12

For the grace of God has appeared that offers Salvation to ALL people. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.

All for the cause in 1 Cor 9:19, 22-23

Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. -- Apostle Paul
